Boomer Wrestling Camps

Technique Camp

  1. Every session kicks off with a comprehensive drill review. Unlike many wrestling camps where moves are introduced but not revisited, we understand the importance of reinforcing key techniques. Wrestlers often leave camps and forget crucial elements by the time they return home or the season starts. That's why we prioritize a thorough drill review at the beginning of each session, ensuring that essential techniques are ingrained into the nervous system. Our approach guarantees lasting benefits for wrestlers throughout the entire year.
  2. Methodical instruction sessions set us apart. Unlike many wrestling camps where instructors cover individual holds without a cohesive structure, we take a different approach. Following our drill review, we dive into the main body of instruction, offering a unified system of high-percentage progressive techniques. This ensures a seamless flow of chain wrestling and sets the stage for success on the mat.
  3. Following nearly every general session, wrestlers and coaches have the opportunity to pinpoint areas for additional instruction. For instance, if you excel at leg attacks, you might opt for a session focused on advanced setups or finishes. Whether you aim to enhance your proficiency or address weaknesses in leg riding, these half-hour sessions provide a tailored approach for improvement. For beginners, review groups are established to ensure comprehension of fundamental techniques and procedures. Campers will be grouped by age and skill levels.
